Speaking In Poetry

I often wonder why I'm always the one to blame
I have faith in what I'm preaching
It all comes out the same
You only speak in poetry and agony
But you won't have the strength to withstand the truth

But I feel like a burden behind these walls
And I know I'd still answer if you called

Just leave and clean up the mess you made
I'll convince myself that I'm not the one who's grieving

I often cry out for a quiet place to breathe
But in my heart I know it's not the place I wanna be
I never saw you as a pessimist
I'm feeling desolate and I'll have to admit
That the signs were always there from the start

But I feel like a burden behind these walls
And I know I'd still answer if you called

Just leave and clean up the mess you made
I'll convince myself that I'm not the one who's grieving
And time, when time passes by again
You'll be crawling back to a place that has left you frozen

It's a vicious cycle
Its a downward spiral, you wrote
Now my heart is bleeding
Now your story's pleading, just go
I'm sick and tired of this mess we're in
I thought you'd finally understand
But I guess you never will
I always thought that I was constantly wrong
I can't shake the feeling I've been right for so long

Just leave and clean up the mess you made
I'll convince myself that I'm not the one who's grieving
And time, when time passes by again
You'll be crawling back to a place that had left you frozen
