Clouds

Take my hand - she called his name
I can show you wonder
Time has come to spread your wings
He heard the distant thunder

And they walked for a while through the valley
She turned her face to the sky
Smiled at him with diamond eyes
And said i'll teach you to fly

Then he looked up at the clouds and turned around
He saw himself through her eyes
There were voices on the wind they filled his mind
They whispered come the sunrise

Watch the clouds, she smiled again
Your journey's nearly over
Beyond this vale there lies a land
Where you may rest, my lover

And he followed her down to a river
Where she looked him in the eye
Took both his hands and held them tight
As they rose into the sky

With his head above the clouds he felt so free
They danced until the morning
But when the sun arose he danced alone
He felt his heart was calling
Calling to his love where did you go
I need you here forever
And the answer on the wind came back so clear
You never shall forget her

As he soared above the world, he understood
He saw it all so clearly
As the colours of the rainbow passed him by
He knew she loved him dearly
And she looked up at the clouds, she saw his face
She knew they'd lose him never
But until she learned to fly and find that place
She'd watch those clouds forever
