Shift In the Breeze

I've spent some time looking for a spotlight
Most will never find it they simply nevermind it
I've gone through phases I don't have foresight
I know I've got what it takes I just have to define it
Rewind the track back if these words go over your head
I talk about my life but think about yours instead
We focus so much on money that mentally we are in debt
As an independent thinker its a lonely path you tread
There are things that I've said I wish I could take back
That means that I'm learning so I shouldn't dwell on that
But dwelling's my addiction
Like stirring up friction
I've gotta break the habit put it into submission
I always feel like I'm missing out on a lot
Happiness paralysis can't focus on what I've got
I can overcome its just the low point of the plot
There's still a round in the chamber
I haven't thrown away my shot

I know I've got more mistakes to make
I can learn from them and I can keep the faith
At this point its a numbers game
And I will catch my break
I could never forsake what I'm called to create

One thing I don't know why

I'm down with LP yeah you know me
It hurts a little bit but I keep it low key
I gotta keep moving keep the movement alive

I wish I could be normal just put it aside

Worst case I'm content with the fact that I tried
Throw on my favorite playlist and suddenly I am revived
I remind myself that there is still strength inside
I feel a shift in the breeze and a change in the tide

But sometimes its a little out of sight
