Goodbye Mornin

Goodbye, mornin'
Hello, evening
It's been a long, long weekend
Goodbye, mornin'
Hello, evening (Yeah)

Her daddy had El Caminos
He sold them for dope money
Her mama worked at the casino
Yeah, they had 'em a single wide trailer
Tucked behind a gas station
Just a bit outside of Reno
Yeah, she dropped out of high school
She took a likin' to Michael
But Michael only drove bicycles
Huh, yeah, so they took a siphon and siphoned
Gas into an old Plymouth
And he stole his granddaddy's rifle
Yeah, Mahogany paint
Rusted out bottom, you could see the road through the floorboard
The shit was busted
Yeah, she wasn't no saint
Even though nobody knew it
The bitch was sneaky and couldn't be trusted
Yeah, her mama text Tina
"Baby, dinner's at eight," but she turned off her ringer
She had no vibrate, no cell service either
Michael said fuck a cell phone
Michael's still rocking a beeper
Yeah, the drive was outrageous
Got drunk and took LSD
Fearin' and loathin' Las Vegas
She said, "What you telling me? I like it rough, I'm a sadist"
So they pulled over and fucked on top of somebody's Bentayga
Isn't that true human nature?
Two humans usin' each other
Consumed in perfume and makeup
Assuming that when you wake up
You'll be in bloom like a flower in love
But soon as you love 'em, you hate 'em
Ain't bitch a nature?
I mean, nature's a bitch, anyway
Where was I with this?
Oh yeah, they fucked on the Bentley
And jumped back in the Plymouth
He said, "The city of sin,"
She said, "Let's do some sinnin'"
He said, "I got an idea, I'm down to go if you're in"
She said, "Of course, whatever,"
She said, "whatever, I'm down for whatever"
He said, "Grab the rifle,"
She said, "Cool, even better"
Threw the gun in a duffel bag with her purse and her mama's sweater
Michael grabbed her by her hand
And they ran into the 7-Eleven
And stuck 'em up for the cash
And a 24 pack of Miller Lite
No mask, high as a kite
Jumped back in the car
Just in time to hear the sirens
Ten miles into the desert
The police chasing, start firing
Pop, pop, pop, pop, they tried to hit the tires
But hit the back window
Michael took one to the shoulder
The blood splattered on Tina
She wiped her face with a look of shock
Then she said, "Fuck the cops"
Then grabbed the rifle, he said, "Don't worry, I keep it cocked
Just point and shoot, hang out the window and let it loose"
"I can't drive any faster got it pinned at 92"
She took a shot, but the cop didn't stop
Michael said, "One bullet left, Tina, that's all we've got"
Michael hit a pothole and Tina dropped the gun on the road
Plus, they forgot to get gas
The car started to slow
He took a turn toward the canyon, but hit a ditch and got stuck
The cop handcuffed Tina and then he beat Michael up
Beat his ass to a bloody mess and he kicked in his guts
Threw him and Tina in back of the sheriff Bronco truck
And when they both woke up on a hotel rug
Buck-naked and dazed
Still in a haze and buzzed
Hands shaking from the detox
TV box plug Electrified, rejected like a B-side dub
She said, "Michael, what the fuck?"
He said, "Bitch hold up
My name ain't Michael, and where the hell's the keys to my truck?"
She said, "Michael, what the fuck?"
He said, "Bitch hold up
My name is Pete, and LSD's a hell of a drug
Ain't it, Sheila?"

Goodbye, mornin'
Hello, evening
It's been a long, long weekend
Goodbye, mornin'
Goodbye, mornin'
Hello, evening
It's been a long, long weekend
Goodbye, mornin'
Goodbye, mornin'
Hello, evening
