In Waterdeep's heart where shadows creep
Lies Lif's tavern a place to seek
But a boom did sound an eerie plight
Three heroes stirred to set it right

Barend the half-orc fierce and bold
Aeric with sorcery untold
And Vardas the monk with the burning past
Together they faced the unknown's toll

Through sewers dank where secrets hide
They sought the truth side by side
But lurking there in depths unseen
Intellect devourers a wicked scene

Their minds entwined a deadly dance
As intellects clashed in a sinister trance
Barend's mighty swings Aeric's arcane flare
Yet Vardas fell to the snare

In the midst of battle a friend turned foe
Barend's will weakened his strength to grow
And Vardas now torn apart
By the cruel twist of a malevolent heart

In the echo of battle amidst the gloom
Barend fought back dispelling the doom
But Vardas lay still his spirit flown
A sacrifice made but not alone

They fought for truth side by side
But in the end a price was paid
For the path of heroes is oft dismayed

With grief and rage they carried on
Their quest for justice far from done

They'd fight until the break of night
