I can feel the wind of summer
Blowing searing on my face
And the seagulls are singing loudly
Far on distant upcoming waves
And the surfers are climbing sea walls
While I watch them from the shore
And if you saw me there, you'd dream, too
To come back for more

I was learning how to love you
And you tried to love me too
But those things who claim for answers
Are the last you learn to do
And the summer is so deserted
That you start talking with yourself
And you learn to read that book
That've been left upon a shelf

I remember all the tunes
We've been listening to at night
While I was in your embrace
And you told me learn to fight
Kids were playing on the shore
And we swore each other love
But that summer wind was blowing
Blew away those foolish words

Where's the love you were screaming
Against those crashing waves

About that endless loving
