Still trying to grow

I'm still trying to grow as a person
Into the right shoe size that leaves me enough wiggle room
So I can enjoy life without overwhelming myself
Where my toes don't poke through the front of my shoes
Tie them up keep on trying new pairs on
Keep on learning what shoe fits your feet
One size fits all is false it's bullshit
Just do it doesn't apply to me
Protect this house is more fitting
Sound mind sound body is my favourite slogan
As an athlete or person on a journey
A sound mind and sound body is the perfect combination
The only way I can continue to grow
Is to walk past the kids section
And dive deeper into the adults shoes
I have to take a look at my life
I have to push through internal hurdles
I have to go outside my comfort zone
And accept I have character flaws
That I need to work on
A sound mind sound body your words are true
I believe you but why do I have to run a mile
In those shoes to feel like the shoe fits
I've bought a lot of shoes from you before
I trust the product you haven't let me down
