Breath of Every Earth

I caught winter by a blade of grass
Rest assured it was a bottle
I caught dinner under midnight minds
Forever it was throttled
Time came and time went
Under misty ceilings
I was out of air with jaguar stare
Before the train tracks started breathing
On and on the sky slept
Into another time
My ancestors leapt off my face
Into an Amazonian vine

When the blue bubble burst it broke
Into constant conveniences
The snake snarled as she heard
Of all their jeweled grievances
Meaning bled and meaning wept
From the figural fountain
As space collapsed into a canary clock
High above a summer mountain
Lying on a feline fence
Resting in a somber snail
And from this simple state
Silver waves crashed upon this tale

Magic learned and magic fought
For an eternal evening
The alabaster sunset crawled
Into a form more subtly redeeming
There was no place to ego
The clouded path had walked away
So the fern went to burn
The lizard asked the fourth moon to stay
She caught him in a truthful trance
Heavier than many sticks of cinnamon
At this moment they realized
The sacred seed begins again

Ancient vagabonds fly and fly
In forever is their righteous time
All within the eighty eyes of a fly
Backwards migrating to die
Before the sunken sun
In-between the mazed meadow
Your beaten broken herbs
Frosted into a tender yellow
The phoenix rose in light
Out of the buried child night
Flames tasted his pitied plight
From amber ashes grew fluid flight

Singing came and singing left
In the sorrow scheming
No one spoke of her purple mystery
The way she was at last beaming
With the golden bear softly leaving
Hardly moving, barely dreaming
Vivid visions of us within the tree trust
Sang for every Earth to keep breathing
Sang for every Earth
To keep breathing
Sang for every Earth
To keep breathing
Vivid visions of us within the tree trust
Sang for every Earth
To keep breathing
To keep breathing
