High Mountain Breeze

Oh, long and lonesome sunrise
Red-tailed hawk circling on the breeze
Blue Oak and California Buckeye
Blackberry bramble at your feet
Light shone down, all around
High through the trees
Down and out to sea

Moonlit meadow under star shine
White owl's song drifting through the air
Cold creek waters by the hearthside
All is borrowed, all is shared
Autumn days fade away
And chase the evergreen
As we fall into dreams

Rise up with the rooster crow
What we reap is what we sow, take heed
Resolution deep within
Remember life begins with a seed
Elusive love in nature's song
At once here and then it's gone, so free
Oh, Great Mother calls to me
Such a thing you need to see to believe
