Run
Three dwarven shadows breathing underground, Nicking Waterdeep sewers where no light is found
Coal-steel echoes, boots splashing fast, A horde of scales behind them deaths gathering mass
The muck and mire with hearts racing beat, Old tales of terror trod beneath their feet
Lizardfolk shrieking, fangs gleaming the dark, Seeking dwarven blood like a starving shark
Run, run through the stench and the grime, Through echoes of fate and the drip of time
Beyond the sewer's choke, past shadows that creep, To the marsh beyond where freedom runs deep
Slick walls of stone with twists and turns, Helmed heads sweat as survival burns
Each dwarf a brother known, names need be known, Bound by escaping the fangs that have grown
Through the murky mire with the city above, Mouthful cries, desperate like a mourning dove
Yet down below, in the guts and the fear, Dwarves counting steps till the marshland is near
A flicker of moonlight, a hint of the sky, Emerges the marsh to their wonder-struck eyes
The squelch of wet ground, the sanctuary found, Leaving behind a horrid clawed battleground
Run!
Run through the moon
Run through the sky
Through echoes of fate and the drip of time, Beyond the sewer's choke, past shadows that creep
To the marsh beyond where freedom runs deep, Slick walls of stone with twists and the grime
To the marsh beyond where freedom runs deep
Run!

Run!
Run through the moon
Run through the sky
Through echoes of fate and the drip of time, Beyond the sewer's choke, past shadows that creep
To the marsh beyond where freedom runs deep, Slick walls of stone with twists and the grime
To the marsh beyond where freedom runs deep
Run!
