But I've been in and out of mom and dad's and other people's places
I respect my parents for playing. The cards they were dealt

Until I stepped out of myself and saw you both show who you was
Would always donate to the less fortunate. Clothes, jackets, and a few gloves

And always wanted to know the whereabouts of us. We didn't always get what we wanted
But our needs were always filled up like the day is over and we get cleaned in tubs
Then when we got older, I became a lot bolder to not follow your views
And from me, I was loosening the screws of trust

We were always fed even if all we had were ramen noodles in a pot or pan
Two pieces of bread, peanut butter jam
Something we'd like to eat because we were a little picky back then
You always kept the house clean. We'd have chores
I'd hand clean dishes counters, floors

Because of that win, I was grown and out of my own
Too big of a mess I just don't stand for
You made me appreciate nature from our property's camp floor
And when me and dad were hunting and explored

Even though I prefer most activities that's indoors
Just an introvert that could've now been seen as a hermit
And toe tips were never in the dirt
Mom for loving us to the moon and back

Loving truths intact is how I try to view, an act and endure
