Hate Song (Live)
This is a song
Sorry Dave
About how recently, Cheap Dirty Horse was featured in the Nottingham Post (oh my god)
Recently, Cheap Dirty Horse was featured in the Nottingham Post
They asked us a few questions and took some photos of us playing
I told the man that I'd rather busk ten hours than work one for the same money
He paraphrased this into the headline and we actually gained some traction online
Yeah we actually gained some traction online, although it was mostly from people telling
Us that we're nothing more than beggars and that we need to pay more taxes
'Oi! Get a real job', they were like, 'Oi! Pay more taxes!'
But I'd rather play guitar all day
Than work my way into the grave
I'd rather play guitar all day
Than work my way into the
No I don't really wanna job, they're fucking shit why'd you even want one
I'm trying to make music my job and no I don't really wanna pay my taxes
I think a fair tax system is very important for a society
But the rich aren't paying their taxes and the money that I could make working even say
Sixty hours a week is minuscule compared to the money being used to
Payoff the ex prime minister's hairdresser or the money being used to keep
Prince Andrew out of prison or the money being accepted from Putin's cronies
Or the money being lost cos we left the EU, all that money being lost cos we left the EU
And the money being used to deport refugees while we welcome economic migrants
And all the money being hidden in all those off shore tax havens
And all the bags of money the oil companies don't even know what to do with
And all the money the train companies get when I go from Nottingham to Brighton
And all those banker's bonuses and all those swanky wines and cheeses
All those MP's expenditures (jesus!) and all those on the clock (g's and t's!)
And stupid silly purple hats and stupid Tory donor cunts
And stupid Tory minded cunts hid behind their labour masks
And pigs that rape and kill while claiming that they are here to protect us
And a state that claims it's democratic while taking away our right to protest
And the private clinics that rake it in while we watch the stripping of the NHS
And through all this those in power have the cheek to claim that we're the best
So fuck you all, and fuck you all, and fuck you all again, you ain't our friends
You're just mad at us cos you don't like your lives
So maybe we're nothing more than beggars, maybe we need to pay more taxes
'Oi! Get a real job', the people in the comments were all like
'Oooh, oooh I love boots so much, has anyone got a bigger boot?'
I'd rather play guitar all day
Yeah I'd rather play guitar all day
Yeah I'd rather play guitar all day
Yeah I'd rather play guitar all
I'd rather play guitar all day
Than work my way into the grave
I'd rather play guitar all day
Than work my way into the
I'd rather play guitar all day
Than work my way into the grave
I'd rather play guitar all day
Than work my way into the
Into the
Into the grave
Sorry Dave
