College Friends

In the middle of nowhere, we grew anew
Fields and forests, and gas food galore
Laughter echoed through those dormitory halls
Late-night talks and weeknight beer pong

Some have families, some followed dreams
Most of us fell in between
I miss my friends, I hope they're well
I hate how much time it takes to tell

Cafeteria food and midnight snacks
Bonding over the newest music tracks
We shared secrets and we shared fears
Now we only share the passing years

Some have families, some followed dreams
Most of us fell in between
I miss my friends, I hope they're well
I hate how much time it takes to tell

Life continues, and we moved on
But the bonds we made are never gone

Some have families, some followed dreams
Most of us fell in between
I miss my friends, I hope they're well
I hate how much time it takes to tell

So heres to the college days we spent
In the middle of nowhere, what every moment meant
To my friends, near and far, I send my love
Till we meet again, under the same sky above
