I was locked up in my habit
Like addict, had a problem, but I didn't know I had it
I was basically basing my bases on many other places
Was a slave to other people and to the smile on their faces
But in Christ is my identity
My peace and my serenity
It was dark and it was difficult but God is my own remedy
If I'm caught up in a riddle
Or in trouble, in the middle
I just walk away from that towards God
I speed it up a little

Everybody's gonna wanna try hit it but miss
And no one ever wants be alone
Never in moment and see nobody when the devil's gon' hit
So better pick it and grab it and take it to God
Maybe I was waiting for somebody but they ain't true, nah
None of all the fame or the name are the main
Then again, my brain had a bit of pain
But it went away that day

Getting away then foul
