Flatland

In Flatland's plane, so plain and small
A triangle I was, with three sides tall
I knew of lines, shapes, and squares
A simple world with simple cares
Points were lower, circles supreme
Living life in lines, where we all convene

Saw a sphere so grand, the top of the chain
Dimensions deep, beyond our plain
Shapes so strange, couldn't comprehend
A realm where depth and height transcend

Saw dimensions, so divine
A world beyond, where shadows shine
Came back home, they called me mad
In Flatland, they can't grasp what I had

Tried to tell my tale, but they shook their heads
Living in limits, in their narrow beds
Couldn't see the light, couldn't break the threads
Of a flat existence, where imagination dreads

Misunderstood, feeling so alone
Living in two worlds, where truth is shown
Gotta accept, some minds can't be grown
In Flatland, I'll find my own

Saw dimensions, so divine
A world beyond, where shadows shine
Came back home, they called me mad
In Flatland, they can't grasp what I had

So I'll keep shining, in my own light
Embrace the unknown, through the night
In this Flatland, I'll make my stand
Even if they never understand
