Life is a progression
You're either climbing or you're falling
Lately I've been reflecting
From when I was at rock bottom
I filled my lungs with smoke and
I drank away my problems
I started keeping parts of myself
Locked away but they could never be forgotten
I look back at the girl I was
Convinced I was broken
And now I'm running like a well oiled machine
I just keep on going
I learned if I wanted to heal the pain
I needed to be patient
I need to accept what I cannot change
And look at the past like it's a lesson
The more I fueled the rage
The more I was pushed back
I knew it then and I know it now
To get what I want I need to move on
Somehow someway so day by day
I started to change
The flowers that I planted
Grew under rain
The storm clouds I was under
Turned into my brightest days
I learned under heavy weather
That it would pass and be okay

I'm finally learning how
To get everything I wanted
And now I finally get
All that I've needed
It turned out all it was
Just a little taste
And a little touch
From inside who I am
It's just some
