Leave a Little Hurt

I saw the river waved at the sight of our embrace
While the sun caught a glimpse of our eyes
On the bridge with our coloured coats
Where we sheltered from Boston's cold
And the hill that marked an end
Not as tough as this plane's ascend

The ship sailed out into the sea
Back and forth like a comforting breeze
Collecting our smiles and placing them in a gallery
Filled with a stack of our memories

Three days they passed in a flash
Through the streets I won't forget
Within Porter's horizons
They hold recollections of ours
Guess I'll leave here a little hurt

Why is it so hard to say goodbye
No matter how many times it never gets easy
The longing for your touch
Is one I'd never get enough

I see you in everything that I see
All the places remind me that
You're not here anymore
And there's no way to ignore

Three days they passed in a flash
Through the streets I won't forget
Within Porter's horizons
They hold recollections of ours

And I know I will see you again
Side by side like the ocean birds
Two weeks will fly just like them
Till then I will live with the pain
Guess I'll leave here a little hurt
