Eastwood Stare
Not heard from afar but stalked by crows
They tightened the knot, strung em up from the gallows
Through orange smoke, faded cold as he choked
In grief of dead witches drowned in the shallows
Can you see the horizon? Screamed every shred of his bones
The monster in him was rising, a monster he couldn't control
Felt held by those he had lost, then hatred replaced his home
Now the monster in him was driving, quenched only by a violent toll
There's a wolf, there's a wolf
The sky is on fire
The sun is getting low but the flames are getting higher
Can you see the horizon
Can you see the horizon
Can you see the horizon
He's the one with an Eastwood stare
You can feel it
You can feel it in the air
(He's the one with an Eastwood Stare)
There's a danger
So you better be aware
There's a weight in the colour of this realm that we roam
The lack of a tribe or a place to call home
Where one may rise, another man falls
You hunt or you're prey when you're out on your own
Dead are the eyes of a nomadic ghost
Decay in his wake from this land to the coast
He can look inside and see through it all
And he rips from the flock, what they fear the most
There's a wolf, there's a wolf
The sky is on fire
The sun is getting low but the flames are getting higher
Can you see the horizon
Can you see the horizon
Can you see the horizon
He's the one with an Eastwood Stare
You can feel it
You can feel it in the air
(He's the one with an Eastwood Stare)
There's a danger
So you better be aware
He struck at the match, watched the flames as they glowed
Masked by the dark and encircled by crows
High as the ashes they would bear witness
To a burning church full of lifeless foes
Those who've given him hate in place of his home
Now laid slain, nothing more to atone
But he was unchanged and totally alone
Lost to the flames, and nowhere to roam
You can feel it
You can feel it in the air
There's a danger
So you better be aware
You can feel it
You can feel it in the air
There's a danger
So you better be aware
(He's the one with an Eastwood Stare)
You can feel it
You can feel it in the air
(He's the one with an Eastwood Stare)
