The Moon
I am the waning Moon
I loom over the dark forsaken lands of the unconscious
My reflected, deceptive and glimmery light
Reveals the most sinister visions
And even grimmer insights
Hear the witches rites and the howling of the wolves
I am madness and abomination
I am lunacy and insanity
I leave you deep in delusion which is steeped in illusion
I am the black mirror
The reflection you refuse to see
I rule at midnight
When the deep dense darkness smothers the Earth
Sink deep below the surface
into the murky waters of the subconscious
Then shall you resurface
And behold the terrible forbidding landscapes
Follow the narrow path with the stream tinged with semen and menstrual blood
Flowing between the barren mounds
Upon which stand the black towers of nameless mystery
I give you the darkest night of the soul
So that you may become whole
You must face that which you fear most
That which lies within
The essential primal instincts of the primeval predatory mind
I am the flux and reflux
The polar extremes and everything in between
You must face your shadow and see it for what it truly is
To deny it, is to deny your origin, your source, your Mother, yourself
Just as the scarab beetle lays its eggs in their dung
And Khephra rolls the sun into the womb of the underworld
In order for it to be born again
For nothing is more fertile than filth and darkness
In the sign of Pisces the last stage of winter
The darkest before the dawn
To whom shall you appeal for aid?
Anubis, the watcher in the twilight
The Jackal God of Khem
Who stands in double form between the ways
At his feet wait the Jackals
Ready to devourer the carcasses of those who have not seen him
Or who have not known his name
Jackal bate will be your fate
If you don't embrace and integrate your shadow self
Anubis will lead you through the rebirth canal
The gateway of resurrection
I loom over the dark forsaken lands of the unconscious
My reflected, deceptive and glimmery light
Reveals the most sinister visions
And even grimmer insights
Hear the witches rites and the howling of the wolves
I am madness and abomination
