NightMare
I woke up
And it was dark
There was something
In my head
Left from the night before
I had dreamed
I was dead
Rolled over in my bed
And I felt
It move around
As my head
hit the ground
I chased my mind
Into a cave
Then I followed
It in there
Oh so lost
in the underworld
Kept on thinking
it's not fair
Deep dark secrets
were unlocked
In the bottom of my soul
Suddenly I saw a light
And I knew
I had to go
Space in time
0r space in mind
I fail to contemplate
Would I live
To reach the light
Or was it too late
Eyes wide open
In a sudden burst
The room was so bright
Was it a dream
To set me straight
Or a nightmare of a night
Closed my eyes one more time
And it began again
Surely it's not real
Then i felt something on my skin
Woke one more time to see
Standing right in front of me
A figure I once knew before
At my soul it soon tore
I tried to save her years ago
As she drown and sank below
She looked directly my way
And forgave me for that day
With one short blink she was gone
Now I'm standing in the room alone
My guilt left with her that night
I have no more nightmares in the night
I hope someday I can forgive myself
For what I could not change
Wish I could stop what happened then
But we can never go back again
The Past is clear for us to know
The future is not so
Not free to change a thing
We cannot change time
Time goes on
Time goes On
And on and on and on
And it was dark
There was something
In my head
Left from the night before
I had dreamed
I was dead
Rolled over in my bed
And I felt
It move around
As my head
hit the ground
I chased my mind
Into a cave
