Let me tell you a story that happened in a cold hospital room
The Doctor said they'd done all they could do
Death would be here soon
For a minute there I could feel the fear, not knowing what the future holds
And the old man gently took my hand and said
We never walk alone

I keep standing on the promise, believing what he told us
He said he'd never walk away
He would never leave us. He'd be there to lead us
Onward to a brighter day

And all I see are clouds of gray

I know he's up in heaven with the LORD
Forever by his side
