New Year's Eve

We mark the hours
We count down days
Make lists of wishes for tradition's sake
We drink champagne until the room is hazy
Anything at all to forget how we're aging

Seems like yesterday
We were ringing in the New Year of 2008
Yeah we're all a little different and talk a little less
But you can bet we'll always find each other when the year starts again

We mark our milestones
And count our stars
And ask each other what our wishes are
Our lives are unpredictable and crazy
Something we should talk about this January

Here we are today
With our sentimental memories
And the ones we've yet to make
Sure we're scared of getting older but we're laughing nonetheless
And you can bet we'll always find each other when the year starts again
Raise a glass to old friends
