Moon

Today I gazed upon the moon
To see if he began to swoon.
nothing there what did I see
I think he looked back at me

I leaned way back for a better look
Tripped and fell into a brook.
Flowed along with the flow
As the wind began to blow

Saw a fish swimming by
Caught his tail and made him cry.
Felt so bad I nearly drown
As my heart began to pound
.
Hit my head on a rock
Yes it was quite a shock.
Grabbed a tree to set me free
And my spirit was filled with glee

As I looked upon the moon
It was setting way too soon.
I smile and said it cannot be
The moon was smiling back at me

What kind of dream is this am
I awake or sound asleep
Is it all in my mind all of it is so deep
My imagination has run away none of it can be real
Truth is all gone I must have time to chill

Just then I see the moon again the light is really bright
One flash and I arise to see the policeman's eyes
Hey sir you can't sleep here I guess I was too tired to drive
Took a nap by the brooks at least I'm alive

As I pull back on the road I looked up at the moon
Nothing there to see then he looked back at me
With a wink and a smile the moon began to glow
I'm out of my head for sure it's not real no no no nooo
