I Can't Take Anymore

Well, it's 5 o'clock on the New Jersey Turnpike and the crazies are heading home
They're not looking for America they're looking for blood and they've got their blinders on
There's a lady doing 80 and she's driving me crazy, cuz she won't put down the phone
And the guy behind me is a tailpipe jockey and he just won't leave it alone

I can't take anymore
He won't leave it alone
I can't take anymore, no, no

Well black is black and white is white, but we all mostly live in the gray
It's not as easy as taking one side, because there's always a price to pay
You'd better watch your guns says the guy on the left and traitor screams the guy on the right
And the people in the middle stuck with bald lies and riddles just get shouted down and out of the fight

I can't take anymore
Down and out of the fight
I can't take anymore, no, no
I can't I can't I can't I can't

Sometimes I need to close my eyes and find a place to hide
Remind myself to stop and breath and leave the world outside

But there's a dude dressed like Jesus and he's tryin' to save me, but a shower would do him good
Muhammed, Buddha, Gandhi, Moses, the Pope and Confucius, yeah they're all in the neighborhood
If all of you can tell me that I'm going to hell, I'd better pack my bags for heaven's sake
You lie and bend the truth then ask me where is my faith, oh save me, Good God give me a break!

I can't take anymore
I can't take anymore
Oh, Good God give me a break
I can't I can't I can't I can't
