Photos on my Fridge

I've got some photos on my fridge
A lot of people I won't see again, my old friends
Next to them is a postcard with a line I find troubling
Says, "the way out is the way in"
And inside, it is empty
I decided to begin anew and eat better food
But I'm not talking about eating
I'm talking about everything I do and see and think and choose
My eyes, they are burning
My heart, it is hurting
I wanna be running away, but I won't
I wanna smooth things over
So hard to leave a diamond in the rough and to be enough
Some will misunderstand me, some will think I'm crazy
That's okay. That's okay
'Cause I have fed on many things
Resentment has been a favorite
I'm gonna put it in a jar, put in a little magic
Transform it, and put it on display
Behind all these photos
A lesson and a poem
Today they remind me to move slow
My eyes, they are burning
My heart, it is hurting
I wanna be running away, but I won't
