Write It Again

There are many things in life that I can say I enjoy
Television, video games, electronic toys
But all these things mean nothing when you enter the room
The pounding of my heart creates a sub sonic boom
There are adjectives to color 'tween the lines of our nouns
Shiny stars, sexy cars, melodic sounds
I'm still trying to find the words to best describe you
But when I've finally written them this is what I'll do

I will tear them up
And stomp on them
Run them through the shredder
Then burn 'em burn 'em burn 'em
I will treat them like
You did my heart
Then I'll sit down
And write 'em again

There are many forms of therapy that people employ
Crying myself to sleep at night's the one I enjoy
There's something bout the possibility I could drown
Relaxing to the orchestra of soft sobbing sound
There are plenty other fish swimming around in the sea
But none of them have got the kind of scales I fancy
You're the lady of my dreams I'll never deny
I've written you a thousand songs but more I will write

I hope you don't think I'm insane
I call my pillow by your name
I kiss your picture in its frame
I write you letters where I point lots of blame
