Home Is Where The Heart Is

Well I've seen a lot of places on the highway
Stopped into a few myself on the road
They all looked pretty different
They all had their own kinda charm
But they all got nothing on the place that I drove in from

Oh, oh there's a lot of small towns in this world
Oh, oh but they don't compare to the one I'm thinking of

Cause I ain't seen nothing grander than that canyon
There ain't nothing out there wilder than the west
I've seen the Hoover Dam up close
I've seen sequoia trees up north
But I always go back to where I started
Cause home is where the heart is
And my heart, my heart's in the south

Well I've met a lot of people on my travels
There ain't nothing better than strangers becoming friends
A smile will get you anywhere but you gotta really mean it
There ain't no room for bitter if you're sweet

Oh, oh there's a lot of small towns in this world
Oh, oh but they don't compare to the one I'm thinking of

Cause I ain't seen nothing grander than that canyon
There ain't nothing out there wilder than the west
I've seen the Hoover Dam up close
I've seen sequoia trees up north
But I always go back to where I started
Cause home is where the heart is
And my heart, my heart's in the south
My heart's in the south, oh, oh

Oh, I wish that singin' river would carry me home
It's the only place I want to be anytime I roam

Cause I ain't seen nothing grander than that canyon
There ain't nothing out there wilder than the west
I've seen the Hoover Dam up close
I've seen sequoia trees up north
But I always go back to where I started
Cause home is where the heart is
And my heart, my heart's in the south
Oh, oh, my heart's in the south
Oh, oh
