Coming Home

When I leave for the north and stay a while
I'm held for a long time when I arrive
I spend my days with families of five or more
And they feed me in every way

When I come home, I get asked to
Serve when I'm starving and no one
Asks me questions more than they have to
I guess they don't have to

I'm not used when I visit, and I know that I can stay
For as long as I'd like
There must be something to going
And another in going away

When I come home, I get asked to
Serve when I'm starving and no one
Asks me questions more than they have to
I guess they don't have to

Don't give yourself unless you know they can hold you
For longer than you knew you needed
Don't give yourself unless you know they can hold you
For longer than you knew you needed

When I come home, I get asked to
Serve when I'm starving and no one
Asks me questions more than they have to
I guess they don't have to

When I go home, they serve me
When I'm starving, and they ask me
All of the questions, I've been thinking
They've been thinking... of me
