The Skank Came Back

Old Mr. Johnson had troubles of his own
He had a little skank that wouldn't leave his home
He tried and he tried to give the skank away
He gave it to a man goin' far, far away

But the skank came back the very next day
The skank came back, they thought he was a goner
But the skank came back, it just couldn't stay away

He gave it to a fella way down in Tennessee
Said, "Take this skank, it's been botherin' me!"
The man swore he'd keep it, promised all his might
But come the morning, it was back by night!

Oh, the skank came back the very next day
The skank came back, they thought he was a goner
But the skank came back, it just couldn't stay away

He tried to send it off in a hot air balloon
Tied it to the basket, and waved it off at noon
He thought he was free as he watched it float away
But wouldn't you know it? It was back that day!

Yeah, the skank came back the very next day
The skank came back, they thought he was a goner
But the skank came back, it just couldn't stay away

He gave it to a farmer with a big ol' plow
The skank seemed happy hangin' with a cow
But as soon as the farmer turned his back
That skank was home, right on track!

And the skank came back the very next day
The skank came back, they thought he was a goner
But the skank came back, it just couldn't stay away

He packed it in a box and shipped it far away
Sent it to the North Pole, where the cold winds sway
Santa sent a letter, said "Thanks for the skank,"
But down the road, it came back with a prank!

Oh, the skank came back the very next day
The skank came back, they thought he was a goner
But the skank came back, it just couldn't stay away

He put it on a train bound for Mexico
"Adios, skank! This time you gotta go!"
But the train broke down, right outside of town
And there was that skank, just hangin' around!

Yeah, the skank came back the very next day
The skank came back, they thought he was a goner
But the skank came back, it just couldn't stay away

He shot it to the moon on a rocket full of fire
"Goodbye, skank! That's my one desire!"
But even in space, it found its way
Knockin' on his door the very next day!

Oh, the skank came back the very next day
The skank came back, they thought he was a goner
But the skank came back, it just couldn't stay away
