The Sun Still Rises

Your voice
Harkens to me
But its
All in my head
I'm just a child whos lost
With no one to guide the way
My father was the light in our home
And I'm lost in the trees

I'm Derelict

I'm struggling
To find the words to speak
My loudest prayer
Are the tears rolling down my face
Silently im pleading
Looking for an answer to anything

Why did your heart
Give up on you
Your mind was willing
But you couldn't pull through

I've fallen
To my knees

The sun still rises
The days move on
I feel stuck in the past
Now that your gone
I am lost in the woods
With no one to guide me
But I see a Light in the dark
and It draws me

God Almighty
I call to You
Repair my broken heart
Change my view

He was suffering
In the confines
Of a broken body
He is free from pain
He has reached eternity

I see that death is freedom
And my father is free
From the shackles
Of human suffering
The sun still rises
The Son saved me
I have tasted salvation
I have been set free
