Spire

Stillness rules the air
Not a vibration of sound nor ground
Just the harrowing silence and I
A light drop settles
Echoing calm and purity in its rarest form
Fading into the pasture awaiting rebirth
Lesions excrete endless palettes
Blues, reds, greys
Days apart from each other but symbiotic nonetheless
Dependent on your soft touch
Your words
Your love
And your empathy
Its kindness follows a trail
But in truth its care has always been embedded deeply in its simplicity
It just wants you here
Ever present

The roots delve deep as service
It's passenger, it's lavender
It's scent for all wrongdoing and passion
Trustful
Brewing underneath the soil like a foil
Covering eyes skin and all that you desire
Blinding you from ever quite touching the sky
The leaves swing like pendulum
Resting crisply on unnatural
Your own hurt
Not to grow, but to die
Just like the harrowing silence and I
