Motorcycle & Tattoo Sleeve

I found out my ex now drives a motorcycle
And his left arm is covered in a giant tattoo sleeve
As I recall he'd never drive a mile above the limit
And he'd pass out anytime someone would bleed

Now I heard they've got a farm outside the city
He was never one to spend much time outside
So it's no coincidence that tattoo matches
The one that's on the arm of his new wife

Isn't this love
Oh isn't this love
The things that you take on
And all the things that you give up
All the ways you compromise
Til you can hardly recognize what you've become
I may have got it all wrong
And I haven't learned a thing
But I know my ex has got a motorcycle
And a tattoo sleeve

Now I've listened to so many bands I've hated
I learned the rules of hockey and pretend to love the game
I'm practically a vegan though my favorite food is cheese
I'm inconsistent and consistently insane

Isn't this love
Oh isn't this love
The things that you take on
And all the things that you give up
All the ways you compromise
Til you can hardly recognize what you've become
I may have got it all wrong
And I haven't learned a thing
But I know my ex has got a motorcycle
And a tattoo sleeve

Maybe love's just an extended midlife crisis
Makes you question every single thing you thought you ever knew
Or maybe all our choices lead us where we're supposed to be
And we're all just doing the best that we can do

Isn't this love
Oh isn't this love
The things that you take on
And all the things that you give up
All the ways you compromise
Til you can hardly recognize what you've become
I may have got it all wrong
And I haven't learned a thing
Maybe he was always meant for that motorcycle
And that tattoo sleeve
