Flesh And Blood

poetry that is agony
misleading past i wouldn't wish on anybody
so i'll confess all that i've done wrong so you can pull yourself up with the words in this song
just let this refrain sink into your soul
just know that we've all been broken before
but within a melody a heart can always be made whole
eighteen years and all that's left is bones
but i would fall back down if that brings you hope
a homeless heart with nowhere to go
so i give you these words to call your own because you are my flesh
you are my blood
and our hearts beat the same
you are my flesh
you are my blood
and let these be the last words i say to you
i've been broken
i've suffered
i've seen so much better
let me be living proof
if i can make it so can you
just let this refrain sink into your soul
just know that we've all been broken before
but within a melody a heart can always be made whole
we all weep somber melodies
but there is poetry in agony
within a life of tragedy
there's always beauty
in me
i believe in you
but you have to believe in me
it's so much more than skin and bones
it's what your eyes don't see
it's what keeps you on your feet
it's what makes us alive
it's what makes our hearts beat
it's what makes us one
it's what makes us believe
there is poetry in agony
and with heavy hearts we sing
don't let yourself drown in the undertow
let these words carry you home
we've all been left broken and cold
let these words carry you home
but a heart can always be made whole
(Epic Fry Scream)
let these words be the ones that you follow
when it's too deep to swim
when life's too hollow
don't let yourself drown in the undertow
let my voice be the beacon
that brings you home.
