III: The Cracked

Don't look at that which roams the fog
Amidst the torn walls
Remains a sinister hallway
Drowning in hopeful anticipation
I advance to the door
Revealing a downward path
Lit by the glowing eyes of dolls
With faces melted yet smiling

Overcome with fear
And looking for solace
Walk down those creaky stairs
At the bottom lies
A vast chamber
Filled with hanging clocks
From nooses (from nooses)

Along the tall walls
Books are stacked ceiling high
Meat hooks dangling from above
Pierce the necks of mannequins

At the core of the room
A corroded table
Affixed with a single fruit
The Cracked somberly surround it
Three distorted and faceless men
I'll never see myself again
That's why I see it through
Because it's me, I knew

And yet I walk on

Why don't I leave this world behind?
It's so cold
I found myself yet I'm still alone!
I've come to realize my fate
With my heart melted and wallowing

With their arms outstretched
A small flame flickering
As if to invite me
I stumble back with fear
What happens here
From their mouths
Forked tongues
Impale and separate the fruit
Divided equally

At the core of the room
A corroded table
Affixed with a single fruit
The Cracked somberly surround it
Three distorted and faceless men
I'll never see myself again
That's why I see it through
Because it's me, I knew
