Poems of Motecuhzoma II: End It All

There is nothing to compare against your beauty
Something birthed from the infinite stars
Where it's believed we're clutched in love together for eternity
And to be praised by those of a divine force

It was written, set in stone
Carved in the oldest trees
You were engraved in my heart

You were engraved in my heart

The beauty you radiate leaves angels to shield their eyes
Not being worthy enough to witness a creation so perfectly crafted
I was proud to show you around within my hands
And when common jealousy would get the best of me

You would always keep me tamed
Every time I felt cleansed
By your polishing eyes

You are a part of me
I am a part of you

You are someone who was never meant to be pulled away from my arms

And if all of this shall end
May the sun cry to extinguish itself
And may the waves be as big as mountains

And may the fires caress all soil

And may life as we know it
Burst away before our eyes
And for my final question
Just before we embrace our demise

May I have you in the next life
