O my shepherd
My needs are all known
A spring of refreshment
T'my thirsty soul
You won't lead me to rocks
And tell me to eat
Or lead me to rapids
To drown where I drink

And it's for Your Name
That you seek and feed and find
The safety of Your sheep—a sign
Of your faithful hand

And it's for your name
That I long to learn your ways
Reputations crack and fade-
But the Shepherd's will stand

Your crook and your club
They steer and defend
From violence without
And folly within
Your love and your mercy
They stalk me like prey
Fierce and relentless
But seeking to save

O the valley's deep
And the cold has settled in
The foolish schemes we've meddled in
Are clanking behind
When the road it bends
Its like your love is blocked from sight
But the stones reflect its light
Still blazing behind

This is for your name
