Suitcase

The hum will fade—what will remain?
Where do we come from, where do we go?
How not to burst under life's heavy strain
Learning its lessons while moving so slow?

How to hold that image, pure and bright
With fragile shoulders, but spirit strong?
How to stay pure in the endless fight
Without joining where things go wrong?

Leaves will fall, and bare soil lies
Covered in snow, it transforms, then flies—
An eco-foundation, soft and tender
A cycle of life, quiet surrender
Like people, they strive toward the sky
Flowers grow tall, as we question why
For flowers, it's life to bloom and be
But we often long to set ourselves free

We all have our suitcases packed with care
Emotions and traumas we carry everywhere
Though hands grow weak, we still hold tight
Clinging to burdens, avoiding the light
We show them boldly, with heads held high
As Heaven sighs and clouds start to cry
From the clumsy ways we live and fall
Missing the grace in it all

Leaves will fall, and bare soil lies
Covered in snow, it transforms, then flies—
An eco-foundation, soft and tender
A cycle of life, quiet surrender
Like people, they strive toward the sky
Flowers grow tall, as we question why
For flowers, it's life to bloom and be
But we often long to set ourselves free
