My Piano's in the Shed

Laying in the grassroots with myself
Headphones playing catchy tunes for my health
I'm facing the sun playing the drums hoping I don't see anyone cause what I've become
Is that extroverted kinda version of the old class clown

Easy as it seems to me
I've been stuck here with my melodies
Wishing none of them would bring me down
But I suddenly forgot to frown
Because I remembered someone special was laying around

My piano needs a friend it's locked in the shed
It's taken all the dust and broken bottles from the week instead
When I'm back to wash away, my old dirty Steinway
I put a pretty smile back on his face and say things unsaid

Months go by in summertime
Faster than the speed of lightning crashes at the worst time that's ironic
I don't mind if I just ride, through the vibes that it provides
It's out of my control and I'll survive

For today I will stay away
From those people looking around for something wrong

One place I can play
Where the happiness will stay
Is that big old wooden shed where my old friend decays

My piano needs a friend it's locked in the shed
It's taken all the dust and broken bottles from the week instead
When I'm back to wash away, my old dirty Steinway
I put a pretty smile back on his face and say things unsaid
