Not Good to Be Alone

In the garden, bright and new, God breathed life in man he drew
But in the beauty, the life he gave, a longing grew, a heart to crave
He saw that man who stood all alone, a need for love to call his own
So from his side, with gentle grace, God formed a helper, love's embrace

It was not good for him to be alone, so God made a love to call his own
A perfect gift, hand in hand, to walk together through this land
Bone of his bone, flesh of his flesh, a love so deep, a bond so fresh
In God's design, a love was shown

For it's not good to be alone
Adam's rib, a skill divine, God shaped a heart to intertwine
Two lives now joined in one accord, bound together, blessed by the Lord
Through highs and lows and joy and pain, a bond unbroken, love will remain

In every step, they walk as one, reflecting the love of God's own Son
