Gigi's Fairytale

In a mysterious land far away
Gigi stumbled upon a place
Where no children were allowed to play
There was a mean old king
Who grunted and said
If you catch them singing or playing
Then off with their heads
There was no time for play
There was work to be done
You better not get caught
Laughing or having any fun
It should always be quiet
Or he would punish everyone
Gigi gathered all of her
Songs and nursery rhythms
Came up with a plan
And didn't tell anyone
She knew the children wouldn't be
Punished if the king could not hear
While the king was sleeping
She snuck into his room and
Poured honey in his ear
The king woke up the next day
He couldn't hear a thing
The honey turned to wax the
King smiled all day because
It was silent
No one disturbed him
In any way
There was peace and quiet
He never noticed what
His ear had inside it Gigi
Gathered all the children and
Taught them to sing and play
The songs they sang back
Then are still around
Making children happy everyday
Thank you Gigi
