Two more minutes to the promised land
Winter break's coming like a big brass band
Bell just rang, free at last
All these plans, gonna be a blast
Though honestly I'm just so tired
I might do the minimum that's required
Just got a text - there's a movie tonight
Group chat's going at the speed of light
No way I'm going but maybe I might
Winter break's here, it's gonna be all right
Won't have to worry 'bout catching the bus
Or wishing that my grades were all A-plus
Even if they're not, it's forgivable
'Cause for two weeks I don't have to look presentable
Getting out is all it took
So relaxed, read my book
Make hot cocoa, have a cookie too

Got no quizzes or essays to write

I'm so happy I might take flight
