Beauty at its Best

I spy with my eyes closed a beauty at its best
My hardened heart unfroze and trickled down my vest
When I turned, opened my eyes, you were in front of me
I had to pinch myself for my head was in a spin
Confided to a friend, "I don't know how to begin?
If you will, help me instill, a little urgency"

And no distance, for I know love comes at a cost
And I am willing, to take my chances if I must
I've fallen, under your spell

'til then I played the fool with acts of stupidity
But now my life has purpose I'm full of poetry
For I find, you're on my mind, oh so constantly

And no distance, for I know love comes at a cost
And I am willing to take my chances if I must
I've fallen, under your spell
And don't tell me, for you can't say it's just a whim
For I remember, I felt magic in everything
A handshake, is still entwined
