Another Day
Just another day
Pushing through the pain
And we're setting pace
Mike Wells
Yeah Yeah
Listen
I scribe rhymes to highlight my mind's eye
Still write to deal with what I try hide
It's been a high climb, trying to make peace
With the past too attached to the memories
I can set em' free loose when I'm on a beat
Still tapping on my snooze when I'm feeling bleak
But today is a day for greats, just
Stand tall when you're faced with hate
And as of late I've been stuck in the house
Ducking any calls and ignoring my pals
The dark days have me low in my mind
And half the time I don't even know why
But, they tell me life is a beautiful struggle
It just depends on the lens I view
And I've been slipping in a couple of puddles
But in their presence is a lesson I use
Just another day
Stay pushing through the pain and we're setting pace
Yeah, just another day yeah, just another
Yeah, just another day
Stay pushing through the pain and we're setting pace
Yeah, just another day yeah, just another
Another mood I can't seem to shift
Bluer than a bruise I still long for bliss
Still choose to continue to move
Stepping through the rain while I'm dragging my shoes
Back in the booth so I can vanish the blues
Lapping any rappers that be lacking in truth
Depict lows and spit flows to show
There's still hope when beat down and broke
So, where you choosing to go
When the seeds that you've sown have been losing their growth
Take a sec just to level your head
Accept every step as a part of the test
A couple words for the brothers that know
You're grown but your demons have you feeling alone
Your guards never down and you're followed by clouds
Put this on repeat, find peace in the sound
Just another day
Stay pushing through the pain and we're setting pace
Yeah, just another day yeah, just another
Yeah, just another day
Stay pushing through the pain and we're setting pace
Yeah, just another day yeah, just another
