BANQUET OF PRAISE

In the version of the Message, I read the words of Asaph
And by the time I was done, my eyes were filled with rivers
For though You Lord, my God requested a banquet of praise
I felt far and below from your grace

Then the words of Asaph came to me again, this time straight
For the Lord has yet again asked for a banquet of praise

So, I set the table, covered with testimonies
I invite as guests the people of God, His blessed
We walk through the memory lane of His glory
And serve on a platter a feast of His kept promises
We present to Him the gifts of our hearts and the fruit of the vine
We eat of His goodness, we are drunk on His supply
We dance and sing Hosanna, this banquet will be loud and for all time
For everyday that I live, His praises I'll sing and to the world, I will testify

Glory to the Lord, my heart sings as my voice is raised
For His grace is ever abundant and forever His name be praised

Hosannah, hosannah, hosannah, hosannah, hosannah
I will shout hallelujah, sing to Jehovah
For He is good
I will sing from the rooftop, ehh call His name non stop

My God is good, what can't He do
He makes brand new, my soul, yours too
He gives me joy, every new day
