Island in the Middle of the Street

I'm tripping way too hard to cross the street
So I be waiting for the green-man, waiting for the green-man
I don't really trust their indicators or their speed
So I'm just waiting for the green-man
Me and Shadow
We push the button, then we waiting for the green-man and beeps
This mushroom's way stronger than I previously perceived
And I aint tryna look both ways to cross the street
So I give thanks for the green-man

My whole body heavy, swaying like the breeze
Tryna navigate this crossing while I'm tryna breathe
On my push-bike, Shadow obviously next to me
On the island in the middle of the street
Waiting for the green like a tree
Even at the zebra crossing everybody speeds
Please, just let me cross the street
Huge smile upon my face, say cheese
Cah it's funny how complicated something so simple came to be
And right now I'm feeling like the red man been lasting for a week
So I asked the brother, please, just change to green
And don't mind my reasoning
The sun's setting and I'm feeling like helium

And their headlights mirror geometric frequencies
While I'm dissolving in the source like I'm seasoning

I can smell the colours of the traffic
And see the sounds of the busses
It's the gap between the opposite pedestrian areas that I'm stuck in

I'm tripping way too hard to cross the street
So I be waiting for the green-man, waiting for the green-man
I don't really trust their indicators or their speed
So I'm just waiting for the green-man
Me and Shadow
We push the button, then we waiting for the green-man and beeps
This mushroom's way stronger than I previously perceived
And I aint tryna look both ways to cross the street
So I give thanks for the green-man
