Life’s Deck

Some are born with gold in their hands
Others just fight to make a stand
Beauty that glows without a care
While some look in the mirror, wishing it was there

Some can't walk, they dream of flight
Some live in silence, craving the light
We all carry burdens, some are hard to see
But none of us chose this destiny

It's not the life we asked for, no no no
But there's still so much room to grow
The cards we're dealt aren't always kind
But there's still strength in what we find

Life's not fair, but it's ours to hold
Look for the beauty, let it unfold
Be grateful for the little things you own
Focus on the seeds you've sown
We can't change the stars above
But we can fill our hearts with love

Someone's running, someone's bound
Someone's lost, someone's found
We all have battles we carry inside
But they don't define the way we rise

Don't waste your days on envy's fire
It only burns and pulls you higher
Instead, take hold of what you've got
It's more than you think, it's a lot

It's not the life we asked for, no no no
But there's still so much room to grow
The cards we're dealt aren't always kind
But there's still strength in what we find

Life's not fair, but it's ours to hold
Look for the beauty, let it unfold
Be grateful for the little things you own
Focus on the seeds you've sown
We can't change the stars above
But we can fill our hearts with love

No one chose this path, it's true
But there's still so much we can do
A helping hand, a kind embrace
Can brighten even the darkest space

Life's not fair, but it's ours to hold
Look for the beauty, let it unfold
Be grateful for the little things you own
Focus on the seeds you've sown
We can't change the stars above
But we can fill our hearts with love

So here we are, broken and whole
Finding peace in what we can control
