The Junky and the Lord's Prayer

I knew a junky, she was quite funky
She got religion to get herself off
She took the ribbon from her mother's best bible
And tied herself off just one last time

And she prayed to Jesus my Lord to keep us from
Sin and evil and wicked people and
Give us bread for today, scare demons away
That your kingdom may deliver the
Power and the glory to us all
And then she'd fall

She took a highway, heaven's byway
She took a needle and made the sign of the cross
She spiked it up and raised her eyes heavenward and said"Into thy hands" And gave up the ghost

And she prayed to Jesus my lord to keep us from
Sin and evil and wicked people and
Give us bread for today, scare demons away
That your Kingdom may deliver
The power and the glory to us all

And she prayed to Jesus my lord to keep us from
Sin and evil and wicked people and
Give us bread for today, scare demons away
That your Kingdom may deliver
The power and the glory to us all
And then she'd fall

I knew a junky she was quite funky
She got religion, and gave up the ghost
