No Reflection

My life
Done passed me by
Loss of vision
But not my eyes
See myself in the mirror
Yet who am I
Conjured up the motions
Lord knows I tried

Hell's roads paved good intentions
Don't mean to cause dissension
It's just my apprehension yeah
All dreams lack perfection

Don't need this old collection
Ain't got no retention
After my last inspection
Well that's a new dimension

This world
Keeps spinning round and round and round
Try to find a reason
Not gaining hallowed ground
And if you're lost
Then you're not really found
Don't forget the cost
You won't be glory bound

An ounce of prevention
Provides good intervention
Did I forget to mention yeah
We all need new inventions
Let's not let circumvention
Use knives that cut the tension
If we avoid pretension
We can just forget convention
