Where It's Warm

Well there was someone I tried to be,
But I just couldn't believe what my eyes couldn't see or my ears couldn't receive.
And there we both were, standing out there in the cold
On the corner of first and Greenley.
Waiting on some sketchy car to bring us to some sketchy bar
Where they didn't card for ID.

And oh, don't you know?
You could leave me out for days, out on my own and I wouldn't be alone.
Because all I believe in are some people I've mistreated unintentionally.
They're coming after me.
They're coming in my sleep.
