Spaceman

She packed her bags and kissed him on the forehead
careful not to wake him up,
and as she hit the open road tears came pouring from her soul.
There was a voice inside that wouldn't let her go.
Maybe God is just a spaceman
who got lost and landed here one day and
when he couldn't find his home he made one of his own
turned these skies to gold, hid diamonds in the snow
so lonely hearts can find their way back home.
He loosened his tie and went on his lunch break.
Looked up at the sky and kept right on walking.
He left his papers where they laid,
he wasnt going to need them anyway,
there was a voice inside that wouldn't let him stay.
Maybe God is just a spaceman
who got lost and landed here one day and
when he couldn't find his home he made one of his own
turned these skies to gold, hid diamonds in the snow
so lonely hearts can find their way back home.
Maybe God is just a spaceman
who got lost and landed here one day and
when he couldn't find his home he made one of his own
turned these skies to gold, hid diamonds in the snow
so lonely hearts can find their way back home.
We'll find a way, find a way back home.
We'll find a way, find a way back home.
